Our Philosophy

At Flowersong Outdoor School we focus on the development of the whole child. We want children to have a strong sense of themselves, a connection to the natural world, the ability to think outside the box, and to love life, learning, and friends. We foster this through a combination of child-led and teacher-led periods that include ample free-play, music, art, games, time in nature, yoga and mindfulness, and other amazing opportunities to explore and experience the wonders of our world. We integrate into each day the teaching of social-emotional and academic skills in a joyful, playful, carefully curated, and developmentally appropriate way.  We celebrate diversity and welcome all! We love teaching and learning. We think this is evident in each day we spend in nature with your children.
